As the year ends I’ve had a lot happen and I must say it’s all been positive. Thus far I’ve graduated, receiving a BAS in Sound Arts, and am holding down a full time job at a well known fruit store. All the while I’m also interning at a Video Production Facility in the North Bay, and the word on the street is I may be getting picked up part time, as to hold down both jobs. Once I get a grasp on how the video place operates, off come the training wheels. As for my music scene I’m pushing out lots of productions. Collaborating with several talented musicians spanning from the Northern Tip of California down to Sunny So-Cal. Expect lot’s of music and video’s in the near future.
Thought this was definitely worth posting again. My man Acethetic is a super talented Musician / Emcee from the Bay Area. This was our first track we put together.… Expect many more from us in the future. On the agenda is to get him and my man Jake Ryan together to bless a fat beat from me. Be on the look out for that in the near future. As for now, enjoy this video!
Today my BFF Ron Ron from The Teknitionz came over because he needed some help setting up his iFone. He was accompanied by Lil Uno from The Pack… We finished “fixing” his iFin then got to business. Started out by showing them some new beats and the rest is history. Audio samples and video clips of the entire process up next…
What is up! This is another look at the behind the scenes footage I put together of Jaden in the studio. As a side note, her album is now done! Tracked, Mixed, and Mastered… all is said and finished. Be sure to check back in a bit as updates will come on how to get your greasy paws on the album.
I was going through my Data CD archives today and have found hundreds of old projects dating back to 2004. This was a huge find for me, it was like finding buried treasure. Following the next set of days I will upload some of those projects. They’re mostly music / beat oriented, so expect those soon. As for now here’s a few (click song title to listen):
A while ago I started a beat with a Sample from John Hiatt. I added some fatty drums to a very likable guitar lick, sent that to an online buddy of mine, and he recorded an awesome bass line to it. After that was said and done, I had Jake Ryan lay down some vox. The end result is pretty solid.
Just a behind look at how Jaden and I do work! Her album is almost done!! All that is left is some minor editing, then mastering. For now… check this video out.
This has been a long journey, but a very exciting one to say the least! We started this album 2 years ago but due to busy schedules and her moving 8 hours away… Things have been bumpy. But! She is making the long drive up to SF next week so we can knock this final vocal session out.
I’ve already got all the mixing done including the scratch vox so throwing in the new recordings should be cake. I will be sure to upload the entire album with a nice little price tag as soon as everything is said and done. Until then head over to her myspace page and click a listen. Linkage: Jaden’s Myspace
I am meeting with the group tomorrow. We are going to re-record a song that wa lost when my computer crashed a while back. Note to self: Backup, Backup, Backup!
Their album is puttin’ along smoothly with an expected release date of All-Hallows-Eve. I will be sure to capture the process tomorrow during our recording session… And we’ll probably be uStreaming the day. If your not following me on good ol’ Twitter you may want to do so as to not miss out on all my tweeting action.
If you’re a fan of Daft Punk, like me, then you may enjoy this mix I put together. Chopped and edited for your listening pleasure. Oh and head over HEREfor newly added content from Jake Ryan.
Today I sat and met with Kris and Eez of the Tektnitionz, as well as their managers. Our first batch of mixes are complete… few minor changes but the bulk of their idea’s have been addressed. Their album is pacing along steadily, especially now that we’re all in the final stages. There are about 5 songs produced by me that made the cut… sweet. As far as mixing and master, well there have been plenty of hurdles… but the again, that’s what makes it fun!
